Fail Britannia

This month's newsletter article sprang from a chance moment watching the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in London earlier this year. I was in Korea at the time, attending a South-East Asia Towards Jerusalem Council II meeting and saw the ceremony on the television in my hotel room. I was simply taken aback by the performance.

There on a background of the British flag, in front of millions of viewers world over, the olympic crowd had a quasi-religious experience celebrating atheism, choir included.

I wrote the article to draw attention to the way that mass pseudo-religious experiences are used by the enemy to mimic a true encounter with the Living God and to point out how badly we need true revival throughout the world to touch peoples' lives and bring about the kingdom of G-d.

Revival is necessary to re-energize the people of God. We need a classic revival worldwide that will bring repentance from worldly compromise and a new empowerment in the Holy Spirit.

You can read the whole article here and join in the conversation.
