Leaving our Parents when Covenanting Marriage

I have updated this mitzvah to clarify that there is no scriptural support for the rabbinic "law" of marriage, described by the major commentators: Maimonides, Meir and HaChinuch. They stress that marriage can only be by kiddushin (consecration).
